New New New, that is the theme of our life these days. Tonight I'm sitting in the living room watching my new TV, sitting on my new entertainment unit, near my new dad-bulit book shelf. I'm also preparing to start my new job on Monday, with my new short hair and contacts, so the only constant is change.
I've taken a new job in the same company in the same location, basically leaving the lab and moving into more product ownership. It is a good career move and will really broaden my experience. It is a little sad to be leaving the lab, but I was looking at a variety of opportunities and ultimately, they all would have pulled me out of the lab. It was important to me to stay in this area, I have such an amazing community here that in the end no job was worth that sacrifice.
Things are also new for Laine, she has moved into preschool and is doing exceptionally well. She continues to grow and develop at an amazing rate. This spring she has discovered a love for the swings, she spends hours on them, which is quite a change from last year when she screamed when she got near them. She has reached the 3 foot mark and gained enough weight to be taken off whole milk, she still has not gained enough weight to actually keep her pants up, which is more than a little frustrating. She continues to love books, puzzles, drawing and games. She continues to be all girl, insisting that her favorite colors are pink ANNNND purple.
